We're married! Hey-oh! Crazy! I had totally forgot about this thing until last week, then totally forgot about it until now. Typical.
Anyhow, I guess I should write a sort of update, for whomever wants to read about us. [Which is you, Deanna ;) ] Tommy and I have moved into our little house in Buena Vista, Virginia, a couple blocks away from the SVU campus. Which is a good distance for me...it's far enough that I can have an excuse not to walk to school, and close enough that I can still be lazy in the morning and get up 5 minutes before class starts and be there on time. That applies to Tommy too! But our house is great - tiny tiny tiny, but with just about everything we need...except for a microwave. GAH it's killing me not to have a microwave! There's a limit to how much stuff you can reheat in the oven in Corningware! Our kitchen smells like cats, but that's okay too. Our bathroom is narrow, but tons of counter space for my hair and makeup regiments...Tommy loves it! I love our little living room too...we got the sweet sleek-looking futon from Target with wedding money...yeah, who's got the coolest cat-smelling house now?!
School has started again, and it's going to be a busy semester. I'm taking a second senior paper class on Faulkner (Just for fun...I only have to write 12 pages this time!), Art History with Tommy, and 3 art classes - Oil painting, sculpture, and 2D design...that one's also with Tommy. We figured we'd save on textbooks and gas and homework (jk) if we took the same classes, since we're both studying Art. Tommy's taking a whole bunch of business classes - Personal/Family Finance, Principles of Marketing, and Spanish 3. Textbooks were not cheap! But it's okay, we'll use them for bonfire material later. And on top of all that, I have my softball pre-season starting in a couple of weeks, and Tommy's lacrosse pre-season has already started...we're two busy ducks! Tommy's finishing up the schedules of his team's games for next semester - man, he does so much work for that team! Late nights emailing coaches, organizing player stuff, talking to the school admin, all the frustration...I wish the guys appreciated him more, but hey that's just me. Who listens to the wife, anyways...
SO. Needless to say that we've got lots to do! I'm going to mail out all like 100 thank you cards next week after Labor Day...geez, all the work FOR the wedding AFTER it's over! I just want to make sure that everyone's accounted for...but you married ladies know how it goes. But we still find time to have fun...we went to see "The Other Guys" with Will Ferrel and my fave Mark Wahlberg...GO SEE IT!! Omg it was so funny. I actually liked Will Ferrel in this one...and that's saying a lot, for me. Anyways, that one was good! But that's about the extent of my "spending money to do something fun" excursions for the month. If you don't count buying textbooks, paying rent, paying utilities, paying for internet, paying for a copy of our marriage license, paying for health insurance, paying for gas...
Alright I'm stopping!
